– Jeff Oddo joins the show to talk about Lords Of The Ring, wrestling’s first commercial home video.  Jeff discusses his background and how he ended up at Independent Media working on a wrestling project.  We hear all about how the content was gathered for this video, and the producers’ dealings with the WWF, Jim Crockett, Fritz Von Erich and Verne Gagne.  We also hear about how London Publishing & Pro Wrestling Illustrated became involved, as well as what happens when you go out drinking with Gordon Solie!

– Longtime referee Jim Molineaux joins the show to discuss a range of topics, including Joel Goodheart’s TWA, where Jim started out.  Jim talks about the friendship he developed with Buddy Rogers, and what happened when Goodhearted folded.  We hear about the early days of ECW, as well as Jim’s memories of the night ECW & XPW clashed in Los Angeles!

– John Hitchcock and Front Row Section D returns this week, with John sharing his memories of Wrestler War ’90 and the fallout from his “We Have Herd Enough!” sign.  John also talks about meeting and talking comic books with Jerry Garcia!

– The late Don Leo Jonathan is remembered this week, as we play some previously unaired audio from earlier in 2018 where Don Leo talks about speaking Yiddish!

– Pandemonium Theatre debuts, with the Superpodcast beginning it’s series of readings of the Vince McMahon biopic script Pandemonium Inc!  It’s as awful as you’ve imagined.

Episode 81: Squeegee

As cries of “The Mothership!” ring out over the land, the 6:05 Superpodcast has returned with another packed show!  The Great Brian Last is joined by John McAdam, making his return to the co-host chair, for this edition of The Only Podcast That Matters, featuring:

– Defense attorney Mickey Sherman joins the show to discuss defending the Iron Sheik after a 1985 incident at a gas station.  Mickey explains what happened and the unique approach he took to ensure his client was seen by the court in a good light.  We also hear Mickey’s memories about the Iron Sheik’s 1987 arrest with Jim Duggan, where he once again defended the former WWF Champion.   We play classic audio from the 1985 promos Mickey filmed for the court, featuring Lou Albano, Bobby Heenan, Fred Blassie, Cyndi Lauper & Gene Okerlund!

– John Hitchcock returns this week with another installment of Front Row Section D!  John’s story this week concerns the final event WCW ran in Greensboro, the night of the squeegee!  John explains the original squeegee incident and how it inspired him to create something special for this event.  As always with Hitch, this is a fun ride!

– We have another edition of the popular “What If?” segment with TGBL & David Bixenspan!  Topics discussed include Gino Hernandez, Antonio Inoki, Continental, Jerry Lawler, Dusty Rhodes, Dynamite Kid & more!

– Allan Blackstock returns this week to once again give his opinion on a controversial topic, as he explains why he thinks Bruiser Brody is overrated!

– Longtime referee Scott Dickinson joins the show to discuss his career, as well as his friendship with the late Brian Hildebrand.  Scott talks how he first got into the wrestling business as a referee and recalls his experiences working for ICW, Don Muraco, Tony Rumble and WCW.  Scott also details his time working with his friend Brian, better known as referee Mark Curtis.  Scott reveals how the wrestling world reacted when Brian got sick and battled cancer, as well how Hulk Hogan got involved.  This compelling talk concentrates on both the life of a referee and the last years of Brian Hildebrand’s life.

– Jim Cornette returns to the Superpodcast to discuss the late Brian Hildebrand.  Jim and Brian had a friendship years before they worked together in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and Jim talks about his fondest memories of Brian.
