Episode 44: Speed Bump

The one and only Mothership has touched down again for another jam packed episode of the Superpodcast!  Joining The Great Brian Last this week in the co-host chair is John McAdam.  Featured this week:

– We pay tribute to the late Don Bass, who just recently passed away.  Jim Cornette joins the show again to discuss his memories of working with Don.  Also, Don’s longtime tag team partner and friend Roger Smith (The Assassin, Dirty Rhodes) discusses Don’s recent battle with cancer and shares some warm memories of his fallen friend.

– John Arezzi tells us about the secret to getting ringside tickets to Madison Square Garden in the 1970’s, as well as the fan scene around the Garden.  We also hear a humorous story of John’s night out with Andre The Giant & Mr. Fuji.

– The Top Ten touches on many topics this week, as TGBL & John talk about Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams, Rick Steamboat’s family man run, wether Larry Zbyszko could have had a strong run against Bob Backlund, the lack of charisma of Al Madril & Brian Adias, Paul Heyman’s late night hotel shenanigans, Andre or Orndorff at Wrestlemania 3 and more.  Also, Jim Cornette watches Mighty Joe Thunder!

– Dan Severn returns for another Dennis Of The Week segment.  This week Dan talks about the rib that was played on one of Dennis’ young wrestlers, his locker room confrontation with Dory Funk, his match with Steven Regal and how he would like to see Dennis Coralluzzo remembered.

– TGBL & Kurt talk about a number of wild topics, including Chris Colt, Kurt’s memories of being in the Omni for the Ole Anderson turn on Dusty Rhodes in 1980, Mil Mascaras, Diamond Timothy Flowers, Mike Lano’s tall tales and more!
